About Me

Hi, I’m Olivia

I trained at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Oxfordshire, graduating in 2010 after five years of in-depth study and practical training.

My professional training has continued over the years to include soft tissue techniques, such as the Emmett Technique, breathing techniques for the core, pelvic floor and body balancing, therapeutic and rehab exercises. These integrate beautifully into my treatments to ensure the best possible outcomes for you.

McTimoney Chiropractic is regulated by the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). Olivia is registered with the GCC.

McTimoney

McTimoney Chiropractic is a precise, whole-body approach to chiropractic care developed by the chiropractor John McTimoney over 50 years ago. It is a non-invasive treatment, assessing the whole body every time and treating where necessary.

Chiropractic means ‘done by hand’. McTimoney adjustments use fast, precise, small hand movements to help the body restore optimal function. Adjustments do not usually create the ‘cracking’ sound often associated with chiropractic. The adjustments are accurate and of low force making it a comfortable treatment to receive. This also makes the treatment suitable for people of all stages of life.

What to Expect

The first consultation is in two parts – a telephone consultation to discuss your health history and the issue you are coming to see me about, then an in-person appointment where I will assess your movement patterns and check for any biomechanical issues in the neuromusculoskeletal system.

I will explain my findings as I go through and discuss a suggested plan of care and subsequent treatments before proceeding to your first treatment.

There is plenty of free parking directly outside the clinic.

Pricing

  • Initial telephone consultation, assessment and treatment £75

  • Subsequent treatments £52

  • Payment can be made with cash or via BACS.

  • I cannot accept card payments. Apologies for any inconvenience.

  • In booking an appointment you are agreeing to my cancellation policy.

Time is precious - I ask that any changes to bookings or cancellations are made with at least 24 hours notice. This allows those on my waiting list to be contacted and the space to be filled. Full payment is required for any cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice or missed appointments.

Teaching

As well as my own clinic in the Hambleden Valley, I also enjoy teaching at the Chiropractic College.  I teach practical skills to the first year cohort and supervise the final year student clinic.  I have also enjoyed teaching modules encompassing professionalism, communication, consent and record keeping.
